A spanish influenced oasis with an amazing menu full of vegan, organic and delicious food right in the heart of the East Village. Avocado-Toast, Tacos, Plant Bowls, Salads or Soups, Juices or Smoothies – this place has it all. Caravan of Dreams combines its passions for food, health, music, arts, and community all at once.
We were lucky enough to meet the amazing owner and founder of Caravan of Dream, a spanish man with so much good energy around him and lots and lots of passion for what he is doing.
We ordered quite a lot of dishes to get a good overview of the offer. Im not over exaggerating when I say that the used ingredients tasted absolutely pure and fresh. The avocados where literally the best avocados I had in the US so far. Beside a spanish Paella, Macrobiotic Platters or Tri-Color Pasta this place is also really big in Raw Vegan Foods – they make raw hummus (from almonds), raw nachos, raw beet ravioli or raw quesadilla !
There also is a huge variety of Juices and Smoothies available. We got a super refreshing red Kombucha and a red & a green smoothie. Some of the smoothie are perfect as a small quick snack on the go also. The water they serve to all guests is filtered.
You feel right away when you enter the Caravan of Dreams that its european influenced. The colorful and creative decor reminded us on spanish bars in Barcelona. Another specialty of the this magical place is there offerings beside the food. They have live music played every night and they also offer lectures or yoga sessions in another room right by the restaurant. This place truly is a little magical place, full of love and compassion for vegan food and a peaceful fun world.
If you are looking for an interesting, different vegan fine dining food experience in New York City, this is definitely the place to visit. Everyone will find its personal favorite.
